ABCD has much pleasure to announce that it did participate again this year in the 19th National Christian Resources Exhibition (CRE) at  Sandown Exhibition Centre Esher, Surrey during the period from 13th - 16th  May 2003. 

 

We, at ABCD,  would like to take this opportunity to thank all those friends and supporters , old and new, who made it and visited us at our stand during this period.

 

The work of ABCD was yet again proudly displayed at our stand.   It is really so encouraging to report that this year our stand saw more visitors than ever before.  Some visitors were old friends and supporters but a significant number were new to the work of our charity with disabled children in Palestine.  Many particularly picked us out of the brochure because of the connection with Bethlehem and the present tragic events and state of affairs in Palestine/Israel.

 

One thing which we noticed clearly this year and was quite strikingly apparent was that visitors to our stand understood and sympathised with the situation in Palestine/Israel and the difficulties which are being experienced by our partners ( The Bethlehem Arab Society for Rehabilitation - BASR) in Beit Jala in bringing aid to those who need it.  Most visitors were keen to enquire and find out how the ABCD aid programmes had fared over the past year given the present situation.

 

As always, it was important and helpful to catch up with other exhibitors, especially those working in fields similar to our charity's.  Some good and helpful contacts were established, particularly with those organisations and individuals whose work include relief work and aid to the unfortunate of this world.  Useful contacts were also made with those in the travel business who are anxious to resume and promote tours and pilgrimages to the Holy Land.

 

We hope to see you again next year. For those of you who were unable to make it this year, we are looking forward to your visit in May 2004.
